After presentation of basic activities of the Chair a lecture about results of some applications of remote sensing technique followed. Excursion to the St.Wenceslaus cathedral, examples of eye-tracking and 3D printer applications have completed the interesting programme prepared by Jakub Miřijovský.

Dear colleague, friend and long-time participant of the Photogrammetric Week Series,
It is with great pleasure to send you together with the final program the
Invitation to the 55th Photogrammetric Week in Stuttgart, September 7-11, 2015
This regular event was initiated by Carl Pulfrich as a “Vacation Course in Photogrammetry” in 1909; since 1973 it has been held at the University of Stuttgart. Today, the Photogrammetric Week Series enjoys international recognition as an upgrading seminar and a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience. It attracts since many years more than 500 participants from more than 50 countries. Its proceedings are well documented since 1975 on the Web ( www.ifp.uni-stuttgart.de/
The Photogrammetric Week Series is unique – the single track scientific program in the mornings is conducted by internationally recognized Keynote and Invited Speakers only, the well-selected OpenPhowo Partners demonstrate their latest technologies in Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics in the afternoons.
This year the lectures by experts from academia in Germany and abroad will be focusing on “Excellence in Photogrammetry, Computer Science and Geoinformatics”. It is one of the best programs of the PhoWo series, and will deal with the following topics:
• Remotely Sensed Data Acquisition – An Update
• Advanced Modelling in Photogrammetry, Computer Vision and Computer Graphics
• Excellence in Geoinformatics
The presentations will be in English. Sufficient time will be allocated for discussions. The scientific program and the demonstrations will be supplemented by fringe events in the evenings to
offer sufficient opportunity for personal contacts and to renew friendship.
A special event is embedded in this year’s conference – the “Open Farewell of Dieter Fritsch”. He will officially retire from being the Director of the Institute for Photogrammetry end of September 2015, but will stay onboard for R&D research projects until the middle of 2019. All long-time friends and PhoWo participants are kindly invited to this event as well, to be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, 16.00.
In addition, a tutorial on “Excellence in Photogrammetry – From UAV Data Collection and Data Processing to Advanced 3D Modelling” will be organized by the Institute for Photogrammetry (ifp), University of Stuttgart, on Sunday, September 6, 2015.
Please come to Stuttgart and convince yourself about “Excellence in Photogrammetry, Computer Science and Geoinformatics”. It will be a milestone in your professional life maintaining nice memories. Looking forward to meeting you in September.
Best regards
Yours Dieter Fritsch
