DUBAI MUNICIPALITY – CONGRESS GOLD SPONSOR AND NEXT CONGRESS CANDIDATE

Apart from being the most favored destination for tourists and holiday makers from across the planet, the United Arab Emirates has also made giant strides in the world of spatial technologies during the past few years. Today, the UAE is distinctly placed as a thought leader amongst the global geospatial community and leads the world in photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS and other related technology adoption and innovation.

Besides, the extremely significant geographic position of the country as a crossroads between the east and west, its standing as a global logistics hub, and the fact that a number of major technology companies manage their regional business from there, makes it a highly desirable candidate to host the all important XXIV Congress of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing in year 2020. Thus, I would like to present our candidacy for the event and would like to welcome you all to join and support us in our bid for ISPRS 2020.
