V neděli 27. 9. 2020 zemřel pan Ing. Ivo Vykydal, ředitel Odboru kanceláře ředitele Státního fondu dopravní infrastruktury. Na loňském 71. setkání pražských fotogrammetrů a členů SFDP tento odborník přednesl výbornou přednášku na téma: SFDI a zavádění metody BIM pro stavby dopravní infrastruktury. Následně se aktivně zapojil do přípravy národní konference „Měření, vizualizace a zpracování dat BIM pro projektování a řízení staveb 2019 se zaměřením na digitalizaci a provázanost BIM s procesy ve stavebnictví a veřejné správě“ a zásadně přispěl k velmi dobrému ohlasu na výsledky této konference. Ještě v květnu letošního roku jsme s ním diskutovali o vhodných tématech pro další konferenci a dohodli s ním aktivní spolupráci. Jeho činnost a vysoká odbornost byla pro nás velkým příkladem.  Čest jeho památce.

Dear members of the ISPRS community, We do hope you are doing fine in these uncertain times, and that COVID-19 has only moderately impacted your life and work. ISPRS and its Council obviously had to adjust its business during this strange period of social distancing, as before the crisis much of the society activities comprised bringing people together to share advances in science and their experience in research, technology developments, and applications of photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. As with many other people and organisations, we were surprised by the vigour and impact of the crisis and at first did not know quite what the best measures of coping would be. As you know, once we realised that problems would continue to prevail, we decided to postpone the Congress, which had been so diligently prepared by our French colleagues for this summer, by 13 months. This decision proved to be correct as the Congress Centre was indeed closed for sanitary reasons during what would have been our Congress week 2020. The new dates for the XXIV ISPRS Congress to be held in Nice, France are July 4-10, 2021. As paper submission and review for the 2020 edition was already in full swing when we announced the postponement, ISPRS decided to produce two editions of proceedings – one for 2020 and another one for 2021, submission for the latter will open in December. Dear friends, on June 17, 2020, Gottfried Konecny, former ISPRS president and the most significant living personality in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, will celebrate his 90th birthday. ISPRS and the ISPRS Student Consortium are honoured to announce a special video session at this occasion.
