SPIE Optical Metrology 2015 – Videometrics XIII CfP

************* SPIE Optical Metrology ************* Videometrics, Range Imaging and Applications XIII ************* 22-25 June 2015 ************* Munich, Germany (With apologies for any cross postings.) For more than two decades the Videometrics conferences have been providing a unique forum for vision metrology, photogrammetry, computer vision and image analysis researchers, developers and practitioners to present the latest advances in precise 3D measurement and accurate modeling from imaging and range sensors. The 13th edition of the Videometrics conference will focus on image and range data processing and modeling in applications such as rapid product development, monitoring, precision metrology, deformation analyses, 3D digitizing, material and component testing, human body modeling, surveillance, industrial inspections, cultural heritage applications and medicine. Videometrics will be held within SPIE Optical Metrology, the premier conference in Europe that brings together users and researchers to discuss the latest inventions and applications in the field of optical metrology. Optical Metrology will contain six conferences that focus on new optical principles and systems for metrology, videometrics and machine vision with applications in industrial design, production engineering, process monitoring, maintenance support, biotechnology, vehicle navigation, multimedia technology, architecture, archaeology and arts. Optical Metrology is co-located with the Laser World of Photonics 2015, providing delegates with access to a huge exhibit of the latest technology associated with lasers and optical systems, and offering an excellent opportunity to connect with engineers, researchers and developers from Europe and beyond. In 2015 Videometrics will feature three excellent invited speakers who will present the latest algorithms and techniques in optical metrology and tracking. For…

1st Announcement 55. Photogrammetric Week in Stuttgart, Sept 7-11, 2015 „Excellence in Photogrammetry, Computer Science and Geoinformatics“

Dear Colleagues, long-time Participants of PhoWo, dear Friends, Ladies and Gentlemen, Have you ever participated in a "Boutique" Conference in photogrammetry, computer cience and geoinformatics? If YES, this is a chance to re-visit Stuttgart, if NO, this would be an excellent opportunity to participate in a scientific conference, which is quite different from all the others for the first time. It is with great pleasure to invite you to the 55. Photogrammetric Week (PhoWo'15), held in Stuttgart, Sept 07 to 11, 2015. The Photogrammetric Week Series is famous for delivering always an update in theories, algorithms, and workflows, in photogrammetry, computer vision and geoinformatics. Many paradigm changes were discussed in the past  - the next challenges will be  building bridges to computer science and computer graphics. Therefore PhoWo 15 will contribute to "Excellence in Photogrammetry, Computer Science and Geoinformatics". Every Photogrammetric Week event is a single-track symposium with carefully selected and internationally acknowledged keynote and invited speakers in the mornings and hands-on demonstrations of the Open PhoWo Partners in the afternoons. There is a social program without any extra costs - all is included in the reasonable PhoWo fee. You are curious? Please feel free to study the details of the enclosed first announcement and visit our web pages: www.ifp.uni-stuttgart.de/phowo/index.en.html . It will be a pleasure to meet you in Stuttgart in September 2015. Best regards Yours Dieter Fritsch PhoWo Organizer since 1992 Prof Dr Dieter Fritsch Inst Photogrammetrie Univ Stuttgart T +49 711 6858 3386 F +49 711 6858 3297 Email: dieter.fritsch@ifp.uni-stuttgart.de Phowo-2015-Invitation.pdf

PIA15+HRIGI15 – Call for papers – Full paper deadline: NOV-30

Dear Colleague, Let me kindly inform you that the conference chairs of PIA15+HRIGI15 cordially invites you to submit a paper to the joint ISPRS event: PIA15 - Photogrammetric Image Analysis HRIGI15 - High resolution Earth Imaging for Geospatial Information Munich, Germany - March 25-27, 2015 http://www.pia15.tum.de Call for Papers: Automated extraction of objects from remotely sensed data is an important topic of research in Computer Vision, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and Geoinformation Science. In order to discuss recent developments and future trends in research in automatic object extraction and their influence on sensors and processing techniques, the two well known ISPRS workshops "Photogrammetric Image Analysis" (PIA) and "High resolution earth imaging for geospatial information" (HRIGI, also known as the ISPRS-Hannover Workshop) will be held as a common event for the first time. The location of the event will be Munich, Germany. Scope: While in the past PIA specialised on the automatic exploitation of the image content, the strongest side of HRIGI was the geometric processing of aerial and in particular of space imagery. Realising that both areas - geometry and semantics - can significantly support each other when considered together in photogrammetric image exploitation, the two events will be organised under a common roof held at Technische Universitaet Muenchen (TUM) in March 2015. At the same time they will keep their identity, as the meeting will be organised as two parallel workshops with common plenary sessions and common proceedings. The aim of the common event is to seek, exploit and deepen the…

Web Seminar Invitation: Do you speak Digital?

Web Seminar Invitation / Do you speak Digital?   For aerial acquisition companies that still operate exclusively with film sensors, the digital arena can seem like a different world with its own language. Many film flyers approach discussions about migrating from their film systems to digital systems with concerns over differences in base-to-height ratio, focal lengths and concepts such as scale versus ground sample distance.   This 45-minute webinar discusses the aspects of aerial data acquisition that must be considered when replacing more traditional analog approaches with those based on newer digital technologies. The discussion covers data collection as well as post-processing, and focuses on Microsoft UltraCam hardware and software systems. Come armed with your questions for the Q&A that will follow the presentation. Better yet, send your questions to ensure they are addressed during the presentation: ultracam@microsoft.com.   Presenters: Alexander Wiechert, Business Manager Michael Gruber, Chief Scientist   Who should attend: Aerial mapping companies, Departments of Transportation, Surveyors, Photogrammetrists, organizations planning for digital camera operation and production.   Register Today!   Click on the link below that corresponds to your preferred date and time to add a live meeting reminder to your Outlook calendar.   For attendees in Europe and the eastern time zones such as Russia, Asia Pacific, China, Australia, New Zealand: December 2, 7 am GMT (8am Central European Time)   For attendees in the western time zones such as USA, Canada, Latin America: December 2, 3 pm GMT (10am Eastern Daylight Time)     DETAILS for December 2, 7am…
